The Lumensol team converged on Milton Keynes last week to get together for our Fall Away Day - this time with a Harvest Festival twist!
With plaid shirts aplenty, we spent the morning catching up on the continued progress Lumensol has made over the last few months. We welcomed several new faces to the company, got the inside scoop from each of our specialised teams into the excellent work we're delivering with clients, and a few glimpses into the future to see what's in the pipeline.
Before taking a break to grab some lunch, we made sure to pull together the fantastic haul of goods the team brought along for our donation to a local food bank. We're of course thrilled to share that we managed to nearly fill up the food bank. A tradition that we've long held and fully commit to continuing at our next team outing!
After some replenishment, we transitioned into some "friendly competition" for the afternoon. Divided into five different teams, we took on a variety of challenges to determine our "Away Day Champions"
Who knew apple-bobbing could get so competitive?
The team also tried their hands at scarecrow-making, leaf-blowing (literally, blowing leaves across a table in what turned out to be an unexpectedly riveting race), bouncing table-tennis balls into pumpkins, figuring out what was in our mystery boxes (nothing dangerous, we promise), and rounding off with a customised egg-and-spoon race featuring conkers.
When all was said and done it was team Martin Baker who came out on top and took home the gold. A particularly impressive display of ball-bouncing skill from Senior Ops Manager Jamie Prouten ensured an empahtic victory (extensive beer-pong experience is our best guess)
And that was that! We're always thrilled to get the team together and to give purpose to each of our company gatherings. Thank you to everyone who attended and an extra thanks to those who brought goods for our donation to the local food bank.
